Founder Alpha App Privacy
RealDay Privacy Policy
- Effective date: August 9, 2026

- Privacy contact: support@realday.ca — handled by the Founder / Privacy Contact for RealDay Technologies Inc.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in RealDay Founder Alpha, the current private test build of the RealDay mobile app.
Founder Alpha is an experimental, local-first prototype. It is not a finished public product. This policy describes current Founder Alpha behavior unless a section is clearly labeled as future.
RealDay Founder Alpha currently has no user account system, no cloud sync of gameplay data, and no RealDay server upload of photos or progress in the current mobile app code.
2. Information RealDay processes on your device
When you use Founder Alpha, the app may store the following on your device in the app’s private storage area:
- Collection and Prompt progress, including your selected Collection, Prompt Assignments, retry state, and related timestamps
- Capture Attempt records, including when a photo was captured and which Prompt it was tied to
- Evaluation results, including outcome type, points awarded, and short result text
- Point ledger entries used to calculate available and lifetime points
- Collection progress, including filled slots and Collected Item records
- Achievement records earned during testing
- Local save metadata, such as when progress was last saved
This information is written to local app storage so your progress can continue across app restarts on the same device. RealDay’s current Founder Alpha mobile code does not upload this gameplay data to a RealDay server.
3. Camera and photographs
Founder Alpha uses your device camera to capture observation photos during a Prompt.
- The app requests camera permission when you use the capture flow.
- If you deny camera permission, the capture flow cannot work.
- Founder Alpha currently uses live in-app camera capture only. It does not import photos from your photo library for the core capture flow.
- When a capture is successfully saved to your Collection, the app stores a JPEG photo file locally on your device.
- Temporary in-progress capture files may exist briefly in memory or device cache until you submit, retake, abandon, or reset.
RealDay’s current Founder Alpha mobile code does not upload captured photos to a RealDay server.
You choose what to photograph. You remain responsible for what you capture and for respecting other people’s privacy and local laws.
4. Collection, Prompt, points, and achievement data
Founder Alpha stores gameplay state locally so you can:
- see your current Daily Prompt
- track Collection progress
- view Collected Items and related photos
- see points and achievements earned during testing
Points and Collection results are part of the current test experience. They may contain bugs, change between builds, or be reset during Alpha testing. They do not represent a permanent account balance or guaranteed reward.
5. Founder Alpha controlled evaluation
Founder Alpha does not use real AI photo evaluation.
During this testing stage, after you capture a photo and choose to continue, you manually select a simulated test outcome (for example Perfect, Counts, Close, or Not Quite). The app then applies that chosen outcome to points and Collection progress as part of the controlled test workflow.
These results reflect the selected test outcome, not an independent machine judgment of photo quality, beauty, or identity.
This controlled evaluation mechanism is a temporary Founder Alpha testing capability. It is not the intended long-term public production evaluation method.
6. Prototype profile identity
Founder Alpha may show a placeholder display name and initial on the Profile screen (for example “Alice” / “A”).
This is not a real user account, not a login identity, and not information RealDay collects from you to create an account. It is bundled prototype display content for the current test build.
A local owner identifier may appear inside stored gameplay records for technical consistency on the device. It is not linked to a RealDay account.
7. Information RealDay does not currently request, receive, or transmit through the app
Founder Alpha does process and store certain gameplay data and photos locally on your device (see Sections 2–6). This section lists categories that RealDay does not currently request through the app, receive through the app, or transmit to RealDay servers:
In the current Founder Alpha app code, RealDay does not currently request, receive through the app, or transmit:
- account registration information such as your name, email, phone number, or password inside the app
- authentication tokens or login sessions
- precise or continuous location
- contacts
- microphone access for the capture flow
- photo-library import for the core capture loop
- advertising identifiers
- analytics or product-analytics SDK data
- crash-reporting SDK data sent by the app to RealDay
- push notification tokens
- public photo sharing through RealDay
- social profiles, messaging, or stranger matching data
- payment or reward redemption records
Static app content such as bundled Prompt text and achievement definitions is part of the application, not personal information collected from you.
Future features such as accounts, cloud sync, AI evaluation, maps, community features, public sharing, or analytics would require separate product decisions, user-facing disclosures, and policy updates before they become current behavior. They are not described here as current Founder Alpha behavior.
8. Support communications
If you contact RealDay at support@realday.ca, you may voluntarily send information outside the app, such as:
- your email address
- your name, if you include it
- a description of a bug, safety concern, privacy concern, or feedback
- screenshots, photos, or attachments you choose to include
- device or build details you choose to include
Founder Alpha does not automatically send your local app data or photos to RealDay support. Support email is tester-initiated only.
Please send only what is needed to describe the issue. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information unless it is truly needed to explain a safety or privacy concern.
Support email is voluntarily sent outside the app. In the current Founder Alpha stage, access to support correspondence is limited to the Founder of RealDay Technologies Inc. RealDay does not currently imply that employees, contractors, support teams, or third-party support agents access this mailbox.
RealDay’s current Founder Alpha operational policy for ordinary support correspondence is:
- correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months after the last substantive interaction
- correspondence should be reviewed for deletion at least every 6 months
- correspondence may be deleted earlier when it is no longer needed
- unresolved safety, privacy, security, legal, or dispute-related correspondence may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to handle that matter or meet legal obligations
This 12-month period is RealDay’s operational choice. It is not stated here as a legal requirement. Deletion and review are operational processes in the current Alpha stage; RealDay does not represent them as automatic.
Voluntary support emails to support@realday.ca are processed through RealDay’s email service infrastructure. Email delivery and storage necessarily rely on third-party service providers that may process that correspondence on RealDay’s behalf as part of operating the support address. RealDay uses support correspondence only for the purposes described in this policy. The current Founder Alpha retention and access rules above remain unchanged.
RealDay support is not an emergency service and is not promised to be available 24/7.
9. Data sharing
Within the current Founder Alpha app: RealDay’s current mobile code does not share your local gameplay data or photos with other users through RealDay, because Founder Alpha has no public sharing, social feed, or cloud gameplay backend in the current build.
With RealDay through the app: RealDay’s current Founder Alpha mobile code does not upload your local gameplay data or photos to a RealDay server.
Support email: If you email support@realday.ca, you choose what information leaves your device in that message. That correspondence is separate from the app’s local storage system.
Service providers: Support email is not processed entirely within the Founder Alpha app. Third-party providers involved in email transmission, hosting, or storage may process correspondence you send to support@realday.ca on RealDay’s behalf. RealDay uses that correspondence only for the purposes described in this policy. This does not change the Founder Alpha retention and access rules in Section 8.
RealDay does not currently sell your personal information through the Founder Alpha app.
10. Data retention and deletion
On-device app data
Founder Alpha stores progress and promoted photos locally on your device until one of the following happens:
- you use an in-app local reset flow where available
- you delete the app
- you replace or wipe the device
- a new build changes local storage in a way that removes or invalidates prior data
- storage corruption or recovery flows require clearing unreadable progress
Full local reset paths, where available, generally clear RealDay-owned progress and capture files in the app sandbox. Some recovery fallback paths may reset unreadable progress without necessarily deleting every previously stored capture file until a full local reset or uninstall. Uninstall and reset behavior remain subject to actual platform behavior. RealDay does not currently offer account-based deletion because Founder Alpha has no accounts.
Support email
For ordinary support correspondence, RealDay’s current Founder Alpha operational policy is described in Section 8. In summary:
- access is currently limited to the Founder
- ordinary correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months after the last substantive interaction
- correspondence is reviewed for deletion at least every 6 months and may be deleted earlier when no longer needed
- unresolved safety, privacy, security, legal, or dispute-related correspondence may be retained longer when reasonably necessary
Deletion is not represented as automatic in the current Alpha stage.
Deleting the app or resetting local progress does not delete email you already sent to support@realday.ca.
11. Device and platform backups
RealDay stores Founder Alpha gameplay data and photos in the app’s on-device storage area.
Your mobile operating system or device backup service (for example iCloud Backup or Android backup, if enabled on your device) may include app data in backups according to platform rules. RealDay does not fully control or verify those platform backup behaviors in this repository.
Because of that, RealDay cannot promise that all app data remains strictly on-device under every platform or backup configuration.
12. Your choices
You can:
- deny camera permission, understanding that capture will not work without it
- choose not to capture a photo for a Prompt
- leave a Prompt incomplete
- retake or abandon a pending capture before submit, where the app allows
- use available full local reset flows, where offered, to clear RealDay-owned local progress and capture files on the device; note that some recovery fallback paths may clear progress without deleting every stored capture file
- uninstall the app to remove the app sandbox from your device, subject to platform behavior
- choose what to include if you email support@realday.ca
Founder Alpha does not currently offer cloud backup, cross-device restore, or account recovery.
13. Security
Founder Alpha stores data locally in the app’s sandboxed storage area on your device.
RealDay does not claim end-to-end encryption, server-side encryption of gameplay data, SOC 2 certification, HIPAA compliance, or formal privacy-law certification for Founder Alpha based on this repository alone.
Protect your device with ordinary device security practices, such as a passcode or biometric lock, especially because photos and progress are stored locally.
14. Children and age scope
Founder Alpha testing is limited to adults for the current private Alpha round.
Founder Alpha is not directed to children, and RealDay is not offering a child account or parental consent model in the current Alpha build. A future public minimum age policy would require separate Founder decisions and updated disclosures.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
RealDay may update this Privacy Policy when its practices or Founder Alpha change.
When a revised policy is published, RealDay will update the Effective Date and Last Updated date at the top of the policy. Material changes should be communicated appropriately where required for the stage of release.
16. Contact
For privacy questions or concerns about Founder Alpha:
Founder Alpha privacy inquiries are currently handled by the Founder / Privacy Contact for RealDay Technologies Inc. through this address. RealDay does not currently maintain a separate privacy department or Chief Privacy Officer title for Founder Alpha.
Do not use this address for emergencies. In an emergency, contact appropriate local emergency services.
